How to use, clean and store your Silpat

Silpat® products are designed to make your life in the kitchen easier and let your creativity run wild. We recommend that you carefully follow our molds and mats’ instructions for use to ensure you can use your products for as long as possible and have the best possible experience.

1

First use

Before you use your Silpat for the first time, and before and after each use, clean your mat or mold with a soft sponge and soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and vigorously shake off any excess water, then air dry on a flat surface. Your mat or mold can also be put in the dishwasher, but we recommend hand-washing to prolong your product’s service life.

Storage

Your mats

Don’t fold your mat, make sure to store it flat. You can also roll it up, either in its original box, which we specially designed for easy storage, or with our Silband storage band. Don’t put anything on top of a rolled mat, as this may damage it.
